kerala Excessive Courtroom directs catastrophe administration authority to disburse electrical energy fees school which was became Covid centre

The Kerala Excessive Courtroom directed the District  Catastrophe Administration Authority  (District Collector, Pathanamthitta  in his capability as Chairperson, Catastrophe Administration Authority) to disburse electrical energy fees to a personal school  which was requisitioned as a Covid First Line Therapy Centre in 2020.

A Single Bench of Justice V.G. Arun disposed of a Petition filed by Mount Zion School of Engineering.  The School and hostel buildings of the petitioner, a Self Financing Engineering School, was requisitioned as a Covid First Line Therapy Centre from 21.05.2020 to twenty.12.2020.  

The petitioner has been issued a Invoice demanding arrears of electrical energy consumption fees for the interval March, 2020 to February, 2021. The petitioner has approached the authorities searching for cost of the invoice quantity. The District Collector, Pathanamthitta, in his capability as Chairperson, Catastrophe Administration Authority, having did not accede to the request, the petition is filed.   

The Chairperson, Catastrophe Administration Authority has filed an announcement stating that the electrical energy fees for the petitioner’s School and hostel constructing for the interval 21.05.2020 to twenty.12.2020 might be paid by the respondent directly, after calculating the electrical energy fees in accordance with  Tips of Kerala State Electrical energy Board Restricted (KSEB) Restricted.   

In view of the above assurance, the  petition is disposed of by the Courtroom directing the  District  Catastrophe Administration Authority (4th respondent)   to disburse the quantity because of the petitioner inside an outer restrict of two months.  

The counsel for the petitioner submitted that the buildings have been requisitioned through the interval from April, 2021 to Might, 2021 additionally. Therefore, claiming electrical energy fees for that interval, the petitioner has submitted  illustration. The 4th respondent is therefore directed by the Excessive Courtroom to take a call inside two months.
